I would love to see every congressperson and senator spend a few years without health insurance for themselves or their families. I imagine universal healthcare would become a priority.
Politics has become so mired in back room deals and loopholes and workarounds that no real change is ever going to happen unless there’s a mass uprising. And that ain’t gonna happen anytime soon.
And insurance company CEOs will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.
Oh well. See? I bitch all I want on here but still I do nothing. Apathetic bloody planet. I’ve no sympathy for it at all.
Speaking of capitalized medicine, I went to the doctor today. I slit my wrist last night.
The latter had nothing to do with the former to be honest, but it sounds a lot more dramatic.
I was doing dishes and an extremely heavy glass pot slipped out of my grasp at which point an extremely sharp point of an extremely large piece of glass hit my wrist. It looked deep.
It’s actually more like a puncture wound than anything. Which sounds a little cooler than “slit”. And a little less filthy.
