Captain: What’ve you got?
Lt. Wilmer (Colin Cunningham): Not quite sure, sir. We picked up some paint two minutes ago.
Captain: Looks like the damn thing’s just hanging there.

Captain: Prepare to surface at once! {he leaves for the engine room}
Lt. Wilmer: Surface into what? We’re under thirty-two feet of glacial ice.

Mulder: Just don’t shoot me. I got shot once and I didn’t much care for it.

Bounty Hunter (Brian Thompson): Where is he?

Samantha (Megan Leitch): Your partner is alive.
Mulder: How do you know?
Samantha: He took her to get me.
Mulder: There’s no sign of a break in. She wouldn’t have just let him in.
Samantha: She might not have known who he was. She might have thought it was you.

Samantha: He’s gonna contact you. He’s gonna say he wants to make a trade. Your partner’s life for mine.
Mulder: Why? Why does he want to kill you?
Samantha: ‘Cause I know how to kill him.
Mulder: How?
Samantha: By piercing the base of the skull.
Mulder: That’ll kill anybody.
Samantha: Yes, but this is the only way to kill him. and it must be precise. I’m fairly sure it’ll work.
Mulder: Fairly sure?

Mulder: How do we find him?
Samantha: We don’t. He’ll find us.

Mulder: All the clones work in abortion clinics. Why?
Samantha: Access to fetal tissue. Though the biologies are incompatible, they finally found a way to combine human DNA and alien DNA.
Mulder: This man. Why has he been sent to kill them?
Samantha: The experiments weren’t sanctioned. It’s considered a dilution of their species—a pollution of their race. So a bounty hunter is dispatched to destroy them and terminate to colony.
Mulder: It’s a good story. I’ve heard a lot of good stories lately.
Samantha: I’ve got no reason to lie to you. I’m your sister, Fox. You have to trust me.

Skinner (Mitch Pileggi): Mulder?
Mulder: Door’s open. Make yourself at home.
Skinner: What’s going on here, Agent Mulder? Why are the lights out?
Mulder: Orders from my ophthalmologist.
Skinner: You alright?
Mulder: Yeah. I’m fine.
Skinner: I’ve been trying to reach you and Agent Scully.
Mulder: I haven’t checked my messages.
Skinner: Are you aware that Agent Scully incarcerated four men with the federal marshal’s office and those men are now missing?
Samantha: It’s alright, it’s not him.
Skinner: What the hell is going on here, Mulder?
Mulder: This is my sister.

Scully: Mulder, why didn’t you tell me on the phone that it was her?
Mulder: I couldn’t tell you.
Scully: Why not?
Mulder: ‘Cause you’d never let me go through with it.
Scully: Are you sure that it’s your sister?
Mulder: Why would you even question me on that?
Scully: Because back at the hotel, Mulder, it was you but it wasn’t you.
Mulder: Well it was her!
Scully: Well then who was this man—?
Mulder: He’s an alien!
Scully: Is that what you’re gonna tell Skinner?
Mulder: I already told Skinner. That was the easy part. The hard part is telling my father.

Mr. Mulder: You didn’t make me come all this way to give me good news. What is it?
Mulder: Samantha’s gone, Dad. I lost her.
Mr. Mulder: What do you mean you lost her?

Mulder: What’d you find?
Scully: It’s your sister. We just pulled her body out of the river. Mulder, I’m so sorry.

Mulder: It was all a lie.
Samantha Clone 1: We needed your help. We knew you could be manipulated.
Samantha Clone 2: He’ll be coming. We must hurry now.
Mulder: Who?
Samantha Clone 3: The man who’s been sent to kill us.

Samantha Clone 3: The rest of us are dispensable. She’s the first. The one from which we all came. The one you must save.
Mulder: I’m not your savior.
Samantha Clone: You must help us. You have no choice.
Mulder: You know what? I do have a choice. And my choice is to walk out of here.
Samantha Clone: We know where your sister is. Ask yourself, Agent Mulder. How else would we know so much about her?

Scully: Agent Mulder’s claim of alien origins can not be substantiated. The man suspected in their disappearances is still at large, and has now been charged with the death of FBI Special Agent Derek Weiss.

X (Steven Williams): You wanted to see me?
Mulder: How was the opera?
X: It was wonderful. I’ve never slept better.

X: You’ll only win the war if you pick the right battles, Agent Mulder. This is a battle you can’t win.

Scully: Agent Mulder saved my life!
Skinner: If he wanted or expected you to do the same he would have told you where he was going.

Scully: Where’s Mulder?
X: Sorry. I must have the wrong apartment.

Scully: How did you get this?
Skinner: Unofficial channels.

What’s this for? What are you crazy?
Mulder: I’m just tired. You’re not getting back to your ship before I know where my sister is.

Bounty Hunter: If I wanted to, I could have killed you many times before.
Mulder: Where is she?
Bounty Hunter: Is the answer to your question worth dying for? Is that what you want?
Mulder: Where is she? Just tell me where she is.
Bounty Hunter: She’s alive. Can you die now?

Scully: Did you find what you were looking for?
Mulder: No. But I found something that I thought I’d lost. Faith to keep looking.
