Avalon : Part One

Colonel Cameron Mitchell: Bigger than I thought it’d be.
Harriman: Yes sir. Welcome to Stargate Command.

General Landry: Your service record’s impeccable, Mitchell. What’s wrong with you?
Mitchell: Sir?
General Landry: Nobody’s perfect. Everyone has some sort of character flaw. What’s yours?

Mitchell: General, I’m here to join SG-1.
Landry: Colonel, you’re here to lead SG-1.

O’Neill: How are things working out for Mitchell?
Landry: Well you could have told him that SG-1 got reassigned. You should have seen his face.
O’Neill: Yeah. I suppose.

Vala: Well. Don’t you all have me surrounded.
Landry: Welcome to the SGC. I’m General Landry.
Vala: Vala. Vala Mal Doran. Thank you so much for the lovely greeting party. We all had a wonderful time searching each other, didn’t we boys?

Vala: Come to torture me?
Landry: How old are you?
Vala: Mental abuse won’t work either.

Avalon : Part Two

Jackson: We know the Ancients left their galaxy for Pegasus and returned later when they lost the war to the Wraith, but what happened to them.
Landry: I thought they ascended.
Jackson: Well some did that we know, but what if others went home? Even if they didn’t, the book I read suggests that the Altarens left civilization behind.
Landry: And your point is?
Jackson: My point is that we haven’t met a single living Ancient who’s willing to share their knowledge freely with us and there could be an entire advanced civilization of them out there somewhere in another galaxy. I mean isn’t that why we’re doing this, all of this? The Stargate program, the [?], is so we can meet new races, gather advanced technology, possibly learn about ourselves in the process.
Vala: Oh c’mon. You do it to meet women.
Mitchell: She has a point, sir.

Rak’nor: I did not fight for the freedom of all Jaffa only to have it corrupted by a few power-hungry individuals.
Teal’c: Nor did I.

Dr. Lee: Look, we have studied devices like this for years and at some point ultimately you just have to turn it on.

Origin

Jackson: Maybe you can tell me who you are.
Prior: I am a prior of the Ori.
Jackson: And what is that?
Prior: In time. All in due time.

Prior: Devotion is rewarded. Those who stray must be guided back to the path.
Vala: Seems to me those who stray get burnt to death.

Prior: I have come to spread the word to the unbelievers who have been sheltered and raised by evil.
Mitchell: You have no idea how much he sounds like my grandma.

The Ties That Bind

The Powers That Be

Villager: Please. Forgive us. It has been so long. We began to fear you would not return.
Vala: Then you are foolish. I would not abandon you. I am your god.

Beachhead

Kellana Jaffa: The Jaffa have shed too much blood to replace one false god with another. We have made our decision and we will tell him.

Mitchell: Lieutenant Colonel Cameron Mitchell. Leader of SG-1.
Nerus (Maury Chaykin): But you’re not…
Mitchell: No.
Nerus: Will he be here?
Mitchell: Nope.
Nerus to Vala: And you’re not even Colonel Carter, are you? This isn’t at all the way I imagined it.

Landry: If this Kellana is a Jaffa world, I’m not sure how this is our fight.
Nerus: Not your fight? You engineered the downfall of the Goa’uld. This is very much a galaxy of your own making, General. And you must take responsibility.

Gerak (Louis Gossett, Jr.): And this is your message to the Ori?
Vala: Pithy, wasn’t it?

Carter: She did it. The gate’s been destroyed.
Jackson: Did Vala make it back on board?
Airman: Negative, sir.

Ex Deus Machina

Teal’c: Brothers and sisters, we finally have the opportunity to govern with authority and respect. Years ago that seemed unthinkable. But now we are in a position to help others who are in need of our support and guidance.
Gerak: Why should we help them?
Mitchell: How about because… it’s the right thing to do.

Gerak: He still refuses to speak?
Jaffa: The prisoner is strong.
Gerak: Then we must be stronger yet.
Jaffa: It was through instruments like this that we were oppressed.
Gerak: Then how appropriate would it be then, for it to serve our cause.

Landry: You see a possible Goa’uld connection here?
Jackson: Well we already know that sometime last year the Goa’uld successfully infiltrated the Trust. And that the Trust has connections to government agencies and corporations worldwide.
There’s a good chance we didn’t get them all. If that’s the case, the Goa’uld are still on Earth. And they’re gaining strength.

Teal’c: What do you know of the Jaffa we discovered?
Ka’lel: He lost his life trying to secure Gerak’s prize.
Teal’c: Of what prize do you speak?
Ka’lel: Ba’al.

Agent Barrett: So you’re single again?
Carter: Not exactly.

Ba’al at the press conference: No doubt most of you have never heard of me before today, but I can assure you that over the next few months you will all get to know me very well.

Jackson: Where are you gonna be?
Carter: Seattle.
Barrett: How the hell are you going to get there. {She beams out}. Prometheus.
Jackson: Beats flying coach.

Pendergast: Cam. What can I do for you?
Mitchell: I need a little help moving.

Babylon

Jolan: Your questions can wait. Now that your strength has returned we should begin jomo sel talak immediately.
Mitchell: If that’s breakfast, I could eat.

Volnek: All enemies who transgress our sacred ground forfeit their lives.
Jackson: Yeah, well, you might want to post a few signs.

Jolan: The fighting style of the Sodan has been a closely guarded secret for a hundred generations. It is a shame you will die shortly after learning it.

Lord Haikon (Tony Todd): I know that the Ori are not the Ancients, but can there be any doubt that they are gods? And if they can lead us to the path of enlightenment, how can I refuse them?
Mitchell: You’re making a big mistake. These Ori are not what you think they are. They’re not even close.

Lord Haikon: Perhaps when you face your death, in your final moments you will understand.
Mitchell: I’ve already been there. I understand.

Landry: This is going nowhere. Two weeks and he hasn’t given us so much as a haiku.

Landry: Give me something I can use—soon. Or the next paperwork I fill out will declare Mitchell MIA.

Tass’an: Heed my words, brother. If a Prior visits your world, leave.

Jolan: We will continue to walk the path of Sodan until the others see the error of their ways.
Mitchell: Well for what it’s worth, you won’t walk alone.

Walter Harriman: We’re receiving an IDC code. It’s Colonel Mitchell.
Jackson: You’re kidding.
Walter: I would never do that, sir.

Prototype

Landry: If there’s something wrong with this Gate, I want to know what it is before anyone else walks through it.
Carter: Yes sir.
Landry: Find the problem. Until we do, all Gate activity is shut down.

The Fourth Horseman : Part One

Landry: Colonel Carter! I’ve read your proposal.
Carter: And?
Landry: And, I’m not exactly sure what an aneurysm feels like, but I suspect I’m pretty close.

Bra’tac: Gerak has proposed that the religion of the Ori should be adopted by all Jaffa.
Teal’c: As law?
Bra’tac: To be taught to our children. Its benedictions and traditions followed to the letter. Should it be ratified by the council, all Jaffa will have no choice but to accept the Ori as Gods.
Teal’c: True belief cannot be legislated.

Teal’c: Gerak is a fool and he must be revealed as such.
Bra’tac: Gerak is many things, but he is no fool.

Dr. Lee: A couple of days?
Carter: Well, we’ll just have to roll up our sleeves and burn some midnight oil if we have to.
Dr. Lee: “Midnight oil”. Why didn’t you just tell them we’d come up with a viable means of creating cold fusion while you’re at it.
Carter: Sure, if you’ve got something.

Walter: Unauthorized offworld activation.
Landry: What now?
Dr. Lam: Hey, you wanted to be a general.

Orlin: You’re so close.
Carter: I know.
Orlin: Hello Sam. It’s good to see you again. I’ve missed you.
Carter: Who are you?
Orlin: I had no choice but to take this form. It’s me, Orlin.

Jackson: I’m sorry, aren’t you breaking some major cosmic rules here? I mean, why did the Others let you go without wiping your memory clean?
Orlin: Honestly, I don’t really know. I guess enough of them felt it was necessary for someone to step out of line and warn you.
Landry: I’m assuming you’re talking about the Ori. We’re already aware of the threat they pose.
Orlin: Believe me, you don’t know everything. A long time ago, the Ori and the Alterans were one society—human—on an evolutionary path to ascension, but a philosophical division grew. The Ori grew more and more fervent in their religious belief. The Alterans… for lack of a better way of putting it… believed in science. The Ori tried to wipe them out.
Jackson: So instead of going to war, the Alterans built a ship, left their galaxy and came here. We know that both the Alterans and the Ori eventually ascended, and that the Ori passed on a religion called Origin to the next evolution of humans they created.
Orlin: Yes, but the central promise of the religion, everything Origin’s followers devote themselves to, is a lie.

Jackson: Are you saying that the Ori don’t offer their followers ascension?
Orlin: No. Most certainly not. Then they’d have to share.
Landry: Share what?
Orlin: The power they sap from those who worship them.
Carter: How is that possible? I mean, are you saying there’s a real, physical transfer of energy to the Ori that occurs simply through a human being’s belief in them?
Orlin: “Simply” is not how I would put it. It’s quite complicated, but possible. And for it to have a measurable effect, it requires massive numbers of humans relinquishing their will. Nevertheless, it is one of the main reasons the Ancients have so strongly believed in strict non-interference in the lower planes.
Jackson: Because the temptation to manipulate and align lower lifeforms in some order for your own purposes could result in exactly this type of abusive corruption.
Orlin: The Ori empower themselves by sapping the life force of those willing to surrender themselves to them.
Jackson: Unknowingly. And this promise of salvation in return—
Orlin: Leads to nothing but death of the most meaningless kind.

Carter: Do the Priors know this? I mean are they complicit?
Orlin: No. They are merely pawns. The more worlds the Priors convert, the more powerful the Ori become. They must be stopped.
Landry: Why don’t the Ancients, uh.. Alterans, whatever you call yourselves now. Why don’t you stop them?
Orlin: I am one of them no longer, and even if I was, it is unclear whether such action would result in victory. Nor is such an endeavor at that level necessarily the next best step to further enlightenment. All I can say for sure is that if this galaxy were to succumb and bow to the Ori, it would be very bad for everyone.

Gerak: True belief cannot be forced upon others. The offering of Origin speaks for itself.

Gerak: What would you have me do?
Prior: Go to Chulak. Mark it as the last place the Jaffa will ever defy the power of the Ori. And destroy all those who will not walk the path of enlightenment.

Landry: We’re hoping that as long as you’re here, you may be able to help us.
Orlin: I no longer possess the power to simply cure this plague as I could have as an ascended being. However, with the knowledge I still retain, I believe I can synthesize a cure using your medical technology.
Carter: You built a stargate in my basement with spare parts from a toaster.
Orlin: Actually, this’ll be a little harder than that.

Carter: How’s it going?
Orlin: Basically, I know what I need to make. I just don’t have any of the right materials or tools.
Carter: This is the best we have. I can get you a toaster if you need it.
Orlin: Not unless you’re hungry for toast.
Carter: Waffle iron?

The Fourth Horseman : Part Two

Jolan: It was foolish of you to come. The others are distrustful of you.
Mitchell: Yeah, I kid of got that. Anything else I need to know?
Jolan: Haikon will have the answers.

Carter: Orlin, by not letting go of the Ancient knowledge you’re damaging your brain.
Orlin: Yes. My human brain is failing under the weight of so much information.
Carter: You knew this would happen, didn’t you?

Lord Haikon (Tony Todd): How will we know when it is working?
Mitchell: We’ll know when the Prior is no longer able to use his powers.
Jolan: How will we know when he will be no longer able to use his powers?
Mitchell: Well. Someone is just going to have to test it and find out. {silence all around.} Don’t worry, fellas. That someone is me.

Jolan: You are confident this will work?
Mitchell: Well. If it doesn’t work, we’re out of options.

Orlin (Cameron Bright): Tell me, Sam. How can you regret losing a memory you can’t even remember?

Damaris (William B. Davis): It makes no difference what you do to me. But know this: the Ori are all seeing. They’re already aware of this affront to their emminence. They shall strike down those that dare to defy them.
Mitchell: Nothing happened. You?
Jackson: Not me. Little thirsty.
Mitchell: That doesn’t count.
Jackson: No it doesn’t.

Damaris: We are beacons on the road to enlightenment.
Mitchell: No. You’re darkside intergalactic encyclopedia salesmen. Unfortunately the home office hasn’t been quite up front with you.
Jackson: Nice work on the metaphor.
Mitchell: Thank you.

Mitchell: General! We were just exchanging recipes.
General Landry: I heard. Has he offered up anything?
Mitchell: No sir. The man doesn’t even have a decent pie crust.

Landry: What was he saying?
Orlin: He just told you why the Ori are on the way to this galaxy. They’re coming to destroy the Ancients.

Teal’c: Why are you hesitating, Gerak?
Gerak: If I help you, I will die. But I will die free!

Collateral Damage

Landry: We need to set up a meeting.
Carter: No need, sir. We’ve already been invited back for a reception in honor of the scientists who developed the implant technology.
Mitchell: I’m hoping there’ll be dancing. Sir.

Mitchell: So, do you… live here on your own?
Dr. Reya Varrick: Why do you ask?
Mitchell: It’s a big place. I don’t know. Just curious, I guess.
Dr. Reya Varrick: I thought that was your clever way of asking if I was married.
Mitchell: I’m not that clever.

Marell: Unless Colonel Mitchell’s made a habit of killing innocent people, we’re out of options.
Mitchell: I may have what you need.

Varta (William Atherton): I understand Dr. Marell and Dr. Amuro were able to determine that the memory was an implant. I must say, I’m relieved. A trial could have been extremely detrimental to relations between our worlds.
Teal’c: Not to mention inconvenient for Colonel Mitchell.

Varta (William Atherton): He doesn’t know he killed her. There was no way to recover that memory.
Mitchell: And that’s gonna make it okay?
Varta: It was for the good of the project. And Dr. Varrick would have understood.

Landry: I read your report. Not sure I’ve seen language like that used in an official Air Force document before.
Jackson: Sorry about that, sir.
Landry: Oh, you should have seen what Colonel Carter and Dr. Jackson wrote.

Ripple Effect

Landry: Since the second team came back from the right planet at the scheduled time, it’s safe to assume that they’re the real SG-1.
Dr. Lam: Okay. Then who’s the other team and where did they come from?
Landry: Exactly.

Black Uniform Teal’c: And with the new threat to this galaxy I returned to SG-1.
Jackson: Right. Along with Colonel Mitchell, myself and, eventually, Colonel Carter. Who rejoined following her—
Black Uniform Teal’c: Following her honeymoon.
Jackson: What?

Landry: What do you have for me now, Walter?
Walter: Sir, it’s SG-1’s IDC. Again.

Mitchell: What if there are more teams coming in hot, sir?
Landry: I’m willing to make the occasional exception, but I am not about to turn this base into the Grand Central Station of the Multiverse.

Teal’c: Up to this point the particulars of the varying universes have remained remarkably similar.
Landry: That’s what I wanted to talk to you about. Another SG-1 came through twenty minutes ago, which puts the count at twelve teams not including yourselves.
Jackson: Well at we’re in good company.
Landry: This last team is a little different in terms of personnel.
Teal’c: How so?
Landry: Well there’s someone I thought you might like to talk to.

Camo Uniform Janet Fraiser (Teryl Rothery): Daniel? Teal’c? Where’s General O’Neill?
Landry: I’m sure you all have a lot to catch up on.

Landry: Excuse me, Colonel Carter? All the Carters perk up. My Colonel Carter.
Carter: Here, sir.
Landry: I’ve brought another volunteer who’s offered to help.
Carter: Martouf.
Camo Uniform Martouf (JR Bourne): Hello Samantha.

Camo Uniform Fraiser: You have to find a way to get us back as soon as possible.
Jackson: Yeah, Sam and Dr. Lee are working on something.
Camo Uniform Fraiser: No, you don’t understand. We’ve been targeted by the Ori. Earth is being ravaged by a plague. Hundreds of thousands have been infected. If we don’t find a cure, the entire planet will be wiped out.

Mitchell: If this plan goes FUBAR we’re the only ones that go down with the ship.
Black Uniform Jackson: Well there’s plenty more where we came from, right?

Mitchell: We’ve reached the target location.
Black Uniform Mitchell: Yeah, I heard.
Mitchell: I think they’re just circling. Looking for parking.

Black Uniform Jackson: Wouldn’t it have been easier just to zat him?
Black Uniform Teal’c: Easier, yes. But far less gratifying.
Black Uniform Mitchell: Did he just insult me?

Black Uniform Mitchell: So let me get this straight, we figured that you guys would try to escape and set this trap for you, not realizing that you’d figure out that we’d figure you out and set your own.
Teal’c: Indeed.

Black Uniform Mitchell: Hey Mitchell. When the time comes, cut the green one.

Camo Uniform Martouf: It was nice working with you again, Sam. Your presence has been sorely missed on our team.
Carter: Just out of curiosity, where did I go?
Camo Uniform Fraiser: Maternity leave.

Camo Uniform Janet: Well, we’d love to stay, but we have a planet to save.

Stronghold

Dr. Kelly: I imagine you had to pull some pretty big strings to make this happen.
Mitchell: Ferguson got that chunk of metal in his head saving my sorry ass four years ago.

Ferguson (Reed Diamond): Doing pretty good. For a guy with a ticking time bomb in his head.
Mitchell: Why don’t we see what the doctors have to say about that.
Ferguson: I’m just doing what the flyer says.

Ferguson: How’s the big important top secret job?
Mitchell: Still top secret.
Ferguson: Oh come on, man, you can tell me. I’m not going to tell anyone. He puts on his serious face. I’m going to die, you know. No flowers?
Mitchell: No. No, hell, I thought about it. But I decided on this instead.

Ba’al: Come now, Teal’c. We’re smart enough to know we’re not actually gods. Well, some of us are anyway. There are always those who will begin to believe their own propaganda. I suppose all you need is enough people to worship you and then what’s the difference? You’re pretty much a god by definition, are you not?

Ferguson: You know what I think you’re doing?
Mitchell: Sleeping.
Ferguson: I think you’re fighting aliens.
Mitchell: I think that chunk of metal you got in your cranium has caused a lot of damage.

Ba’al: So. Have you given some thought to my proposal? To be honest, you’ve looked better, Teal’c.

Ferguson: My god, you’re going out on other planets through a freakin’ wormhole. You have to be a little nuts.

Mitchell: Hey. When you get to the part with the flight attendant, skip over it. That’s private.
Ferguson: I promise nothing.

Landry: Teal’c is family. I don’t like people screwing with my family.

Ethon

Kane: We watched so many barter away their beliefs in exchange for their lives. But Leta, she… she refused to accept it.
Jackson: I am sorry.

Pernaux (Ernie Hudson): The large vessel appears to be disabled. Shall I broadcast a call for surrender?
Nadal: The book of Origin tells us that enemies of the Ori show no mercy in their attempts to draw us away from the path. We must face this attack with all the strength we have been given. Finish them.

Colonel Pendergast: Colonel Carter, I need good news now.
Carter: A couple of minutes.
Colonel Pendergast: We don’t have it, Sam. I’m sorry. It’s over.

Colonel Pendergast: I’ll handle all the final transport commands. Everyone else, report to the nearest beam out site. Let’s go, people! That’s an order. Move!

Kane: Do you ever give up?
Jackson: Not until I’m dead. And… sometimes not even then.

Nadal about the power loss: To our knowledge, the Caledonians do not possess the level of technology required to do this. Such a weapon could only have been given to them by your people.
Jackson: I hope so.

Off the Grid

Emerson: I can’t think of a better first operational mission for the Odyssey than to bring home SG-1.
Landry: Neither can I, Colonel. Good luck.

Landry: Every minute you waste trying to negotiate, I take one item off the menu.
Nerus: Can we talk over appetizers?

Nerus: Individually frosted cakes! Aha!

The Scourge

Chapman looking at the Stargate: It’s much bigger than I imagined.
Landry: We get that a lot.

Chapman: I think we can assume the bugs got off the base.
Carter: They must be using their echo location as a means to hunt their prey.
Jackson: Us. She means us.

Landry: What have you found out?
Dr. Lee: I learned that bugs still creep me out.

Carter: Mr. Woolsey. If I could go back in time—which, admittedly, is an opportunity I’m occasionally presented with—I would have made sure that we left the base as scheduled. But the reality is for the time being we are stuck here. Trapped in this cave, surrounded by predatory insects, with no way of getting to the Stargate. Now I’m sorry, but I’m going to have a hard time mustering up a convincing pep talk. All things considered.
Woolsey: I see.

Mitchell: You know what? Sit here. You cover our six. But stay alert. You’ll hear the bugs coming, but tree ferrets give no warning.
LaPierre: Tree ferrets?
Mitchell: Yeah, nasty buggers. Swoop down and separate a man’s head from his torso before you can blink.

Arthur’s Mantle

Landry: What have you got, Doctor?
Dr. Lee: Well we know that Sam was working on the device. We know the device does not give off any typical energy signatures emitted by Ancient transporter technology. This leads us to the conclusion that they disappeared without leaving the room.
Landry: How’s that posible?
Dr. Lee: Miniaturization. Don’t panic. I have calculated the distance they could possibly travel on tiny legs.

Landry: So why would Merlin build a device that would transport him to another dimension?
Mitchell: Oo! Today’s daily double.
Jackson: Yeah, that’s the part I haven’t quite figured out yet.
Mitchell: Close!
Jackson: But at least it points to the possibility that both Colonel Mitchell and Colonel Carter may still be somewhere here on this base. {Mitchell indicates a touchdown}. We just can’t see or hear them.

Crusade

Landry: Believe me, I usually applaud the colorful details of a good story—especially when told with such interesting intergalactic and body-snatching means. But Daniel and I are late to meet with the Russian and Chinese representatives.

Tomin: It’s a miracle. I can walk, I can run. I can fight now.
Vala: You can what?
Tomin: I’ve been conscripted.

Chekov: Russia will no longer be participating under the current structure.
Landry: What are you saying?
Chekov: I’m saying, we are taking our Stargate back.

Tomin: I must leave soon for war.
Vala: Then I must go with you.

Camelot

Meurik (John Noble): I am Meurik, governor of this village. Welcome to Camelot.

Antonius: Welcome to Camelot. The past and future home of King Arthur and his Round Table.
Carter: Sorry. Future home?
Meurik: I assume you know the history of the battle of Camelot.
Jackson: Of course. Where Arthur was mortally wounded by Mordred.

Antonius: Merlin’s name is rarely mentioned in public.
Jackson: Why’s that?
Antonius: Many believe he was a wizard of darkness. He may have tried to do good, but there was always potential for great mischief in his heart. Thankfully, he has neither been seen nor heard of since Arthur’s departure. The library where he practiced his strange arts remains sealed to this day.
